White Wines

Pinto Gringo (Pecile ( Delle Venzie DOC, Italy)

A Pinto Gringo with attitude. Pear and Apple aromas dominate the nose, echoing the lively tangy freshness of the well-balanced palate. Its long finish mixes well with the refreshing fruit. As with all of the wines well with the wines produced by Arrigo and Margherita Bidoli, the fresh fruit shines through here, with good varietal flavor of apple and pear, finishing clean and vibrant.

Sauvignon Blanc (Henrys Hills (Wairarapa, New Zealand))

When asked how he gets the particular flavors in his wines, Paddy Borthwick replies that he doesn't get it - its what he's given. A combination of ancient, stony alluvial soils, a good difference between day and night temperature, cool fermentation and stirring on lees for five months with little interference in either the vineyard or the winery gives us this Sauvignon Blanc full of personality.

Chardonnay (Antech (Limoux Aoc France))

Grown on south facing slopes, 400 meters above the Mediterranean, benefitting from sustainable and integrated agriculture, which Francoise Antech believes allows the wine to truly express its terroir. The result is freshness from its elevation and clay/limestone soil, and ripe exotic fruit flavors from the warm southern French sun.
